Get in Touch

As with any bespoke service, the text on this page really just gives an indication of what's possible - let's speak.

Pricing and Process

I hope that this page will provide some clarity around the services I am able to provide; every child's needs are different, and so too must their support be.

Initial Consultation and Assessment

Before beginning to work with a family, a period of fact finding and consultation is essential. This allows me to get a clear sense of what is required, but also to get a better sense of what is likely to be possible. I will always be honest on this count, from the outset.

As part of this process, we will arrange for an initial session for me to meet your child, whether in person or virtually; this helps me to gauge how we would work together as well as the precise support that they need.

Often, some parental support is also necessary, especially where wider habit building is required - for example building a reading routine, or making sure that time is afforded to any self study that needs to happen between sessions. I always communicate this when it is needed, to ensure that your child derives as much benefit from our time together as possible.

Online or In-Person

I offer online and in-person tutoring for ages 8 to 21, and for all exam courses as well as school entrance. I work with families all around the world, and 90% of my tutoring is online. Given the intensity of demand for UK tutoring after school, and the travel time involved, in-person tutoring is far easier to schedule before 4pm during the school week.

Residentials

I have worked with a number of families on a residential basis, around the world, whether at home or as part of planned travel. These courses are always tailored precisely to your child's needs and circumstances. Given the highly bespoke nature of these placements, â€‹please do get in touch to discuss further.

4

Lesson Sharing

There is no additional charge for a second student; two siblings or friends can share the cost of one lesson. Often this is easier to facilitate virtually.

For groups larger than two, a small additional fee may apply, depending on whether additional preparation will be necessary. Please enquire for details.

Pricing

My usual rate starts at £110 per hour for remote tuition, depending on how much preparation will be required for each session, and on whether our sessions will be during or after school hours.

For in person sessions, there is an additional charge reflecting the travel time and cost involved, which is also dependent on time of day, given that after school tends to be a busy time.

Discounts are possible for block bookings of 10 sessions or more (10%), for multiple consecutive sessions (EG where two children are tutored one after the other, or where different topics are covered in two consecutive sessions - also 10%), and for intensive holiday support.
